What is Emsella?

Emsella is a breakthrough treatment for incontinence caused by a weakened pelvic floor. This unique technology revolutionizes intimate health and wellness and is a great option for post-partum mums who desire a non-invasive solution for urinary incontinence and improvement in their quality of life.

How does the Emsella chair work?

The BTL EMSELLA treatment uses High Intensity Focused ElectroMagnetic Energy (HIFEM) to stimulate and strengthen all the pelvic floor muscles, not just the subset that can be exercised with voluntary contractions (Kegel exercises). 

A single treatment delivers approximately 1100 Pelvic Floor contractions, restoring strength and nerve control. Re-educating the pelvic floor is important for incontinent patients, women after childbirth and those with decreased intimate satisfaction.

Who is Emsella for?

If you suffer from any of the following, Emsella might be the right treatment for you:

  • Stress incontinence caused by menopause or childbirth.

  • Embarrassing urine leakage when laughing, coughing, sneezing, or exercising.

  • Inability to control bladder when feeling a sudden, intense urge to pee.

Sit fully clothed throughout treatment

You will sit fully clothed on the Emsella chair throughout the treatment. Treatments last around 30 minutes.

Walk-in and walk-out 

You will experience tingling and pelvic floor muscle contractions during the procedure. You may resume daily activities immediately after the treatment.

Non-invasive treatment

The treatment is non-invasive and requires no use of drugs. 

How may treatments do I need?

  • We recommend a minimum of 2 x sessions per week across three weeks

  • Each session lasts half an hour

  • $450/session

  • Ongoing treatments are subjective (3 monthly to 12 monthly)

  • Usually a double session is required 6-12 monthly to maintain your results

Are there any contraindications for Emsella?

You cannot receive Emsella treatments if:

  • You can't sit for 30 minutes at a time

  • you have metal hardware in your spine, particularly  lower back

  • you have a history of Hip replacement

  • you have Cardiac pacemaker

  • you have a Penile Implant

  • you have pain pump

  • you have history of active seizures

  •  you have had recent pelvic floor surgery (< 3 months)
