What to Expect During Your First Visit to a Cosmetic Clinic

Nervous about your first visit to a cosmetic clinic? The Enhance experience is based on ethical medical practice and zero sales talk. This guide will walk you through what to expect during your appointment.

If you're considering a cosmetic procedure, your first visit to a cosmetic clinic can be nerve-wracking. However, knowing what to expect can help ease your anxiety and make the experience more comfortable. This guide will walk you through what typically happens during a clinic appointment.

Consultation with a Cosmetic Specialist.

Your first visit to the Enhance Cosmetic clinic will involve a consultation with a cosmetic specialist - that's me, Mihi.

During this consultation, we will discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, as well as your medical history and any medications you may be taking.

I may also examine the area you want to have treated and take photographs for reference. This is a good time to ask any questions you may have about the procedure and voice any concerns you may have. I will also discuss the risks and benefits of the procedure and provide you with an estimate of the cost.

Unlike most clinics where employees are paid on commission for the number of treatments they book, Enhance Cosmetic is an independent clinic based on ethical medical practice.

This means there is zero sales talk around procedures, and instead, we focus on what is realistic and establish a risk-averse approach to take when it comes to your health and safety.

Many people often request more work than is necessary to achieve a result, and I will make sure you are not overdoing it!

Discussion of Treatment Options.

After discussing your goals and expectations for treatment, I will go over the treatment options available to you.

I will explain the pros and cons of each option and help you choose the one that best fits your needs and the desired outcome. I may also provide you with before and after photos of previous patients who have undergone the same procedure to give you an idea of what to expect.

It is important to ask any questions you may have about the treatment options to ensure you are fully informed before making a decision.

Pre-Treatment Preparation.

Before your first visit to the clinic, it is important to prepare yourself both mentally and physically.

This may include avoiding certain medications or supplements that can increase the risk of bleeding or bruising and avoiding alcohol and smoking!

You should also make sure to wear comfortable clothing and avoid wearing makeup or jewelry to your appointment. Additionally, it's essential to have realistic expectations and understand the results of cosmetic treatments such as Botox take time to fully develop.

The Treatment Process.

During your first visit to the clinic, you will typically meet with me to discuss your goals and concerns. I may also perform a physical examination and take photographs to help develop a treatment plan and review progress.

Depending on the treatment you are interested in, you may receive the treatment during the same appointment or we will schedule a follow-up appointment. Again, ask any questions you may have!

Post-Treatment Care and Follow-Up.

After your treatment, it is important to follow any post-treatment care instructions I give you.

This may include avoiding certain activities or products, taking medication, or applying topical treatments.

You may also need to schedule a follow-up appointment to monitor your progress and ensure the treatment is working as intended.

It is important to communicate any concerns or issues with me at any time. Not everyone responds the same way to the same products, and understanding why you may be reacting is important to outcomes and future treatments.

Book your consultation today, and rest assured that you'll be cared for 🙂
