Reversing the Clock: Laser Rejuvenation for Sun Spots

Are sunspots making an unwelcome appearance on your face or hands? Whether they've just appeared or have been bothering you for a while, our laser rejuvenation can help turn back the clock on your skin.

Am I suitable for sun spot treatments?

Laser rejuvenation for sun spots is most suitable for those who range from type 1 through to type 3 on the Fitzpatrick scale.

  1. Type I (Lightest): Individuals with very fair or pale skin that always burns and never tans. They often have freckles and are at the highest risk of sunburn and skin damage risk.

  2. Type II: People with fair skin that burns easily and tans minimally. They may still have freckles and are also at high risk of sunburn and skin damage.

  3. Type III: Individuals with fair to light skin that burns moderately but can tan gradually with repeated sun exposure. They may have some risk of sunburn and skin damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the treatment work?

We address your sun spots with the Alexandrite 755nm laser. The laser specifically targets the pigmented lesions within the skin, where the pigmentation absorbs it without causing harm to the surrounding skin. As the laser gently heats and fractures the pigment, it is subsequently drawn to the skin's surface without affecting the adjacent tissue.

Does it hurt?

There is some minor discomfort. Many patients describe each pulse as feeling like a rubber band snapping against the skin.

How long does it take?

Treatments are quick, easy, and effective and, depending on how many areas you treat, will last between 15 and 45 minutes.

What happens post-treatment?

You will see the pigment crust darken and flake off over an approximate 7-10-day period.

How many treatments do I need?

We recommend between 3 and 6 sessions, spaced over a 4-week interval, which are tailored to your unique needs. Maintenance sessions (1 or 3, depending on your skin) will keep your skin looking flawless.

How long until I see results?

You will see results after your first treatment, with the pigmentation reducing over the course of your full treatment schedule.

How much does it cost per session?

  • Hands: $250 x 1 - 2 treatments

  • Full Face: $350 x 3 - 4 treatments

  • Full face, neck and décolletage: $500 x 3 - 4 treatments

What else do I need to consider?

Protecting your skin with sunscreen before, during, and after your treatment is extremely important. We have PCA products available to ensure the best results.

How do I book?

If you are a first-time client, we recommend booking a consultation first to ensure we can achieve the results you are looking for. During this consult, I can answer any questions you may have, and if you are happy, we can also do your first treatment on the day.
